The Christmas season was coming again, and after letting it slip by in 2003, 2004 became the year to finally make their first album. After a failed attempt at two separate albums in ’03, Chris, Jim, and Mike decided to start early in 2004 (October) in order to finish in time for Thanksgiving.
The album is a collection of original songs and, of course, covers of classic Christmas songs. These include Chris’s version of the Beach Boys’ “Merry Christmas Baby,” in which Chris sings all the lead and backing vocals; Mike’s version of the Carpenters’ “Merry Christmas Darling”; and Jim’s versions of Elvis Presley’s “Santa Claus is Back in Town” and a vocals-only version of “What Child Is This?”
